Alliance Girls School is a boarding high performing high schools established in 1948 by Alliance of Protestants was the first institution of higher secondary for African girls in Kenya. It is located in a small town, kikuyu and in the heart of the very fast growing Kiambu town. The school is ranked among the top schools nationwide and has eminent alumni including Joan Waithaka who became its first African principal.
The school is very selective and competitive with only top performing students in national examinations. The school has a reputation as a center of academic excellence AGHS’s graduates go to leading universities and some selected to attend African Leadership Academy.
The school chaplain is located opposite the administration block is used for services on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
