School history
Kipsigis Girls began in 1955 as a boarding school for African girls in the upper primary classes, Standards 5 to 8, with 140 pupils. In 1965, two years after independence, it became a secondary school, and in 1970 it started an A-level class.
Today it is a national girls’ boarding school in Kericho County.
