Murray Girls High School is a girls boarding secondary school in Taita Taveta County (Mwatate Constituency).
The Girls’ High School, Wusi, was started by the church missionary society,
C.M.S. as a co-education institution in 1960. However it was converted into a full girls’ school in 1961. Situated a few kilometers from Wundanyi town along the Mwatate-Wundanyi road, the school stands on a 38 acres of land.
Established in 1960, the school has adequate land 38 acres for expansion which was donated by Rev. V.V. Verbi, a white missionary pastor in charge of a C.M.S. CHURCH, , good infrastructure and highly qualified teachers.
High School started from Coast girls boarding primary school in 1941 by Miss Merjorie Murray. It was borne from the church mission station of church missionary society, [C.M.S.] established in Wusi in 1921.
The school’s name was changed to Murray in honour of Miss Murray for her selfless, dedicated and charitable works for the school
it has taken a different turn by producing the best principal of the year 2010

The school boasts of a well equipped library which is used by both students and the teachers for research and other academic activities.
The school has the vision to provide Quality education to develop the girl-child. Beside, it has the mission to produce an industrious, efficient, upright and patriotic citizen through our cherished motto ‘Through Endeavor we succeed.’
